At Birds, I act as a one man agency and handle all of the marketing and design. I helped grow the company from four to nine locations, winning Best Barbershop every year in The Austin Chronicle. My work has been published both locally and nationally.

The brand identity has been thoughtfully crafted and grown under my supervision over the last decade. I’ve been responsible for cleaning up Birds’ messaging and design direction, creating a more genderless and ageless appeal. It was important to keep the company’s retro, analog roots while keeping up with modern technology.

I designed and oversaw a complete web and mobile site re-launch in late 2019. While the shops are loud and visually stimulating, the online experience had to be clean, concise and intuitive for the user. It was a balancing act of function and fashion. I wanted to make sure visitors knew what Birds is and why they should visit upon first glance.

Some brand pillars I use in all my design choices: Inclusive, Hyperlocal, Lo-fi/Hi-fi, Throwback, Shuffle

Producer and creative director for buzzy video promoting new service (washing hair with beer) in shops. The clip was picked up by news outlets state-wide.

I create all stationary and corporate collateral for Birds. Hand-stamping and branded tissue paper give the brand a special touch that stands out from competitors.
